Vanaf 29 september ligt er een nieuw Kowet-boek in de schappen. Een boek dat boordevol roodgele voetbalhistorie staat. Met schitterende verhalen, nog onbekende wetenswaardigheden en nooit eerder gepubliceerde foto’s uit de geschiedenis van DVV Go-Ahead en Go Ahead Eagles. Het boek is een uitgave van de stichting Niet te Kraken en is schitterend en kleurrijk vormgegeven door Pieter Ellens van Allison grafische vormgeving.
Een van de hoofdverhalen in het boek gaat over ‘de moeder aller wedstrijden’, Go-Ahead – Celtic. De wedstrijd die op 29 september van dit jaar precies 50 jaar geleden gespeeld werd. Wij spraken met de hoofdrolspelers, zowel in Deventer als in Glasgow. Wij doken in de archieven en ontdekten prachtige voorvallen en uniek beeldmateriaal, waardoor de mythe rondom deze wedstrijd alleen nog maar zal toenemen.
Daarnaast vertellen wij u in het boek prachtige verhalen over gedenkwaardige momenten uit de geschiedenis van Go-Ahead en Go Ahead Eagles, van 1902 tot heden. Het boek sluit af met een indrukwekkende hommage aan de hoofdtribune in de vorm van een fotoverslag. Van houten tribune in 1920 tot de prachtig vernieuwde versie die deze zomer verrees.
Het boek wordt op 29 september gepresenteerd. Vanaf 1 september kan het echter al via de website www.niettekraken.nl/boek besteld en gereserveerd worden. De prijs van het boek bedraagt € 15. Donateurs van de stichting Niet te Kraken betalen slechts € 10. Wie nu voor € 10 donateur van de stichting Niet te Kraken wordt (tot 1 augustus 2016) profiteert meteen van de korting op het boek.
