Het college van de gemeente Deventer spreekt haar zorgen uit over de continuïteit van de lokale omroep van de gemeente Deventer. In een brief aan de gemeenteraad zegt het college daarover het volgende: De situatie bij DRTV baart zorgen. Inkomsten uit sponsoring en coproducties zijn in 2012 hard teruggelopen. Dat wijt het bestuur voor een deel aan de economie en een deel aan de personele wisseling op de acquisitie. Het college heeft haar zorg uitgesproken en de verantwoordelijkheid voor de continuïteit van de instelling van het zittende bestuur benadrukt.
Op basis van een meerjarenplan dat in april 2013 zal worden ingediend, wordt het toekomst-perspectief van de lokale omroep beoordeeld. In september meldde het bestuur van DRTV al dat de inkomsten sterk terugliepen en dat men verwachtte het jaar af te sluiten met aanzienlijk tekort.
Dit tekort kan nu nog worden opgevangen door uit de eigen reserves te putten. In een gesprek daarover, meldde het bestuur van DRTV dat zij een reorganisatie aan voorbereiden zijn. Dit plan is naar verwachting in april 2013 definitief. De omroep had in 2011 al een tekort van ruim een ton zo blijkt uit de jaarrekening, maar in de begroting voor 2013 is deze 102.000 euro al opgelopen tot 124.000 euro.
Het wachten is nu op de jaarrekening 2012 van DRTV, dan zal pas blijken hoe de verliesjaren 2011 en 2012 op de liquiditeit hebben gedrukt. Wat heeft de omroep nog aan financiele ruimte en is de toekomst wel zeker gesteld?
