De politie heeft vrijdagavond in Doetinchem een treffen van supporters van De Graafschap en GAE weten te voorkomen. Zondag speelt GAE tegen de Graafschap op De Vijverberg. De laatste wedstrijd van de twee clubs liep in mei vorig jaar totaal uit de hand. Volgens de politie was het duidelijk dat supporters van GAE de confrontatie zou gaan zoeken. De politie was massaal aanwezig in het centrum van de stad.
